Question

Answer

Scripture

Q: Are we as Christians called to fight for faith today?

A: Not only Jude but Paul also commands us to fight for faith. As people had tried to mislead the church when the disciples were still alive they continue today.

 ||1 Tim. 6:12 KJV|| 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. See Also: 2Ti 4:7, 1Co 9:26||2 Cor. 2:11 KJV|| 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Q: Who is misleading the Church, are they truly bad people?

A: While most of us Christians are simply unknowingly fooled due to lack of study. Some either choose to ignore or intentionally promote false doctrine. Its hard to say each persons intentions behind such an act, or even if they are aware. Our best stance is to love them and promote truth through love not judgement.

||2 Cor. 11:13-15 KJV|| 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Q: What kind of misleading is happening in the church?

A: One example is the many denominations of Christians who detest one another and claim to be different religion’s when were all Christians and there is only one Christ.

||1 Cor. 1:11-13 KJV|| 1 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? See Also Cor. 1:14-17

Holidays

(Holy Days )

As we venture into discussion of holy days its important to remember All things done of a sincere heart for the glory of God is pleasing to him.

||Rom. 14:5-6 KJV|| 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. (cont)

So as most of us know many different Christian denominations celebrate different holidays, in different ways. Just look at the list

(non scripture reference) Advent, All Saints’ Day, All Souls’ Day, Ash Wednesday, Candlemas, Carnival, Feast of Christ the King, Christmas, Feast of Corpus Christi, Day of the Dead, Easter, Ember Days and Ember Weeks, Epiphany, Fasching, Fiesta de San Fermín, Feast of Fools (medieval), Good Friday, Exaltation of the, Holy Cross, Feast of the Holy Family, Feast of the Holy Innocents, Holy Saturday, Feast of the Holy, Trinity, Holy Week, Year of Jubilee, Laetare Sunday, Lent, Mardi Gras, Maundy Thursday, Michaelmas, Midsummer’s Eve, Palm Sunday, Pentecost, Las Posadas, Reformation Day, Rogation Days, St. Lucia’s Day, St. Stephen’s Day, Shrove Tuesday, Feast of the Transfiguration, Presentation of the Virgin Mary, Walpurgis Night

In our first study we gained the knowledge that we aren’t under the law, but its purpose was to teach us what sin is. Sin of course is inherently displeasing to GOD

Question

Answer

Scripture

Q: So what does the Bible say about Holy Days and how to celebrate them?

A: Were going to let the LAW answer this one.

||Deut. 12:30-31 KJV|| 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

|| Lev 18:3 KJV|| After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances

Jesus did give us quite a few examples of how to worship him if were paying attention

||Lk. 22:19-20 KJV|| 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you

Peganism in today's holidays (Under Development)

easter bunny, easter, dwarf rabbit

Is a prehistoric Egyptian snake goddess.

Originally, she had the form of a snake and was called “The swift one”. She came from the fifteenth Upper Egyptian province and was worshiped with Thoth at its capital Hermopolis (in Egyptian: Wenu). Later she was depicted with a woman’s body and a hare’s head.[2] She was taken into the cult of Horus and later of Ra.

Her name can be represented with five different hieroglyphs, but she appears rarely in literature and inscriptions. An exceptional sculpture of her has been found by American archaeologists and is probably the only one of its kind found so far. Her name was taken into the highest royal position just once in the long Egyptian history. The only king bearing her name was Unas. Her male companion is Wenenu, who was sometimes regarded as a form of Osiris or Ra.[3]

Nanabozho most often appears in the shape of a rabbit and is characterized as a trickster. In his rabbit form, he is called Mishaabooz (“Great rabbit” or “Hare”) or Chi-waabooz (“Big rabbit”).

Since the beginning of time Humans have been trying to find GOD. Some religions believe in multiple gods. Some in only one. Some groups among those various religions would have us believe that the one god of Islam or similar religions is the same God of the Bible.

So how do you know? Some scholars try to point to science and how the bible proves things in science before it was even known to man. Others point to quantity of text and probability. Were going to propose something much simpler and we have all heard it before.

PROPHECY…

The Holy Bible is the only book with the audacity to make extremely precise unequivocal predictions century’s before they happen.

Science is great the problem is its always changing and we are discovering new things. Basing your belief solely on the way man understand the world is fragile at best. Historical quantity and age of scripture is helpful but there are religions older than Judaism and Christianity combined. That comes from the fallen angles but that is another study all together
